Think Spring !!!

It may seem like the dead of winter here in the Mid-Atlantic, but for many of our members its only 6-8 weeks from launch day 2010. At our house, we start thinking about sailing the day after the Christmas tree is packed back away in its box under the basement stairs. Waxing, teak and spring projects are waiting and those wonderful Rock Hall sunsets and Chesapeake Bay reaches and runs are dreams approaching reality. We are truly blessed to be able to enjoy the best cruising grounds in the country each season, right in our back yard.

Your RHSC Executive Board will be putting together the 2010 Calendar of Events during the next few weeks. If you have some ideas for events or just want to make sure we don't leave out your favorite event, please let us know.

Look for the Annual Meeting and Brunch Notice coming soon. The brunch will be late in March again this year at a venue in Rock Hall. There will be a fire safety seminar early June, plus a full schedule of Races and Cruises, as well as our annual favorite Crab Feast, wine & cheeses, welcome brunch and a surprise or two.

We have one Executive Committee position open this year, so please feel free to self-nominate via e-mail. Thankfully, we have lots of club members who step forward to help out every event, and that makes our jobs much easier. But we still need the 6 person Exec Committee to plan and orchestrate the events of the season for all to enjoy.
